Juuni Vatne joins the Maritime Cluster
The GCE Blue Maritime cluster has appointed Juuni Elisabeth Vatne as our new Head of Marketing.

- I am proud to be part of a vibrant maritime cluster, and am looking forward to be taking on new tasks where I can commit to the further development of GCE Blue Maritime, as well as increase awareness of the opportunities the cluster can provide, the new cluster Head of Marketing, Juuni Elisabeth Vatne, says about why she wanted to start working at the cluster administration of GCE Blue Maritime. Juuni comes from a position as Brand Manager in the marketing and communications department at Vard, where she has been for the last eleven years.
Juuni herself believes that she would be resourceful for GCE Blue Maritime as she has gained broad experience through collaboration across disciplines, and with different segments in the maritime industry.
- The strength that lies in utilizing our local advantages and the ripple effects within the maritime cluster is a unique factor that contributes to lifting, motivating, and challenging each other to constantly improve, she says.
Cluster CEO at GCE Blue Maritime, Daniel Garden, says that there were many good applicants for the position of Head of Marketing, but that Juuni excelled.
- We are looking forward to be having Juuni on our team. She will be working closely with the cluster companies, making the cluster visible, and organising our activities and meeting places. Juuni's background in communications and her long experience within maritime marketing is a good combination for us.
Juuni takes up the position at GCE Blue Maritime on 1. March 2023.
